Vuma Hills Tented Camp is perched above the trees stretching over the seemingly endless wilderness south west of Mikumi National Park. “Vuma” translated from Kiswahili means “a good rumor that is spread with the blowing wind”. Now a reality rather than just a rumor, it is the ideal place to evoke the true spirit of Africa. Vuma Hills Tented Camp is 15 minutes from the entrance of Mikumi National Park, in a peaceful location in the hills.
NUMBER OF ROOMS & DESCRIPTION:
It has 16 spacious tents with en-suite bathrooms and large verandas offering great views.
Each tent has a double and a single bed. The tents are mosquito proof. Electricity is provided by generator and there are lights and sockets (3 pin square 220 V) in each tent. The generator will run from 10am to 2pm and again from 6.30pm to 11pm. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom, a shower, basin and toilet. All water is solar heated.
RESTAURANTS & BAR:
The dining room overlooks the swimming pool creating an oasis of tranquility in the dusty hot climate of the lowlands in which to savor the varied and well-prepared meals cooked with pride by the camp chefs. Breakfast is typically a buffet setting. Lunch is typically a cold buffet while dinner is prix fixe in a fusion of African, Asian and European delicacies. Coffee, tea and bar beverages are available throughout the day.

There is also a small swimming pool here to relax in after a day out game viewing.
