LOCATION:
Katavi Wildlife Camp is a very exclusive accommodation with only six tents. Katavi Wildlife Camp is located in the best game area at Ikuu on the banks of Katuma River, opening out to the plains. Katisunga which is the middle of the 3 main plains, that forms Katavi making both Lake Katavi and Lake Chada also accessible from this camp. Crucially the camp is located where the Katuma drains the Katisunga plains flowing towards Chada so that you can watch the daily movements of game between grazing on the plains and the last remaining pools of water.
NUMBER OF ROOMS & DESCRIPTION:
8 luxury tents with en-suite facilities, generousin size and furnishings and cunningly set back in amongst the trees that line the floodplain, providing both shade and camouflage in the prime game viewing area of the park, where the wildlife are unaware of your presence. The camp is running with personalized hosting and guiding by an experienced professional guide.
RESTAURANTS & BAR:
The mess tent is set up as a dining, bar and lounging tent, where meals and drinks are served and safari stories are shared. Lighting is by solar power.
