T A N Z A N I A ...a country of Superlatives!!!

Out of the uniting of Tanganyika and the island of Zanzibar in 1963 the Republic of Tanzania “developed”. It is one of the most fascinating countries of the African continent and includes all possibilities of an unforgettable stay. The northern circuit is dominated by the impressing appearance of the “Mount Kilimanjaro”. With its height of 5895m is he the tallest free standing mountain of the world and can truly be regarded as the “roof of Africa“.
In the north-western direction passing Ngorongoro Crater and Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you find the fascinating and endless plains of the “Serengeti”. Untouched steppe spread out with all the abundance of African Wildlife. Lions, Giraffes, Elephants, Leopards, Rhinos, large number of Wildebeest, Thomson Gazelles, Impalas and not to forget the Hippos and the Crocodiles in the water places and ponds. All of them live here.
In May / June when 1.5 million Wildebeest, about 600.000 Zebra and more than 200.000 Gazelles start their spectacular migration, the Serengeti turns into an ocean of animals. It is not clearly known what triggers the migration. But we can say it is one of the wonders of the natural world – if not in fact the most wonderful of all!
In the southwest direction you will find the incomparable Mahale Mountains with the unique world of the chimpanzee. Search and meet our closest relatives by a trekking tour in the dense jungle. Later in the afternoon you enjoy a bath in the crystal clear water of Lake Tanganyika.
The eastern coast of Tanzania is dominated by the island of Zanzibar and the lively, Arabic shaped, pulsate town Dar-es-Salaam on the mainland.
Zanzibar’s colorful history is an epic saga of travelers´ and traders, raiders and colonizers. Just the name, Zanzibar, evokes dreams of romance and mystery and the reality will not disappoint the travelers seeking an enlightening and enjoyable holiday experience!
Karibu sana Tanzania – most welcome in Tanzania
